First of all, Congratulations on making the decision to go to the gym and look after your fitness.

Finally, school P.E lessons are going to come in useful. Everything you learnt is going to come flooding back and you are well on your way to that dream bod. Oh wait, how are the rules of rounders going to help again?

Time to turn to the internet only problem is it’s like joining a conversation half way through and being expected to know exactly what is going on.

Enter Contour Allure. The source of guidance and comfort you have been praying for.

Alongside the clear ‘start here’ to help you not only set your fitness goals but also stay on track to achieve them, you will find lots of useful gym guides, tips and tricks, workouts, exercise explanations and not to mention, personal experiences to help keep you grounded and give you a bit of a laugh at times.

They say knowledge is power but they are wrong. Action is power. Contour Allure is here to help empower you with all the knowledge you need to feel confident to go take action and achieve all of your fitness goals.

It’s Missy here. Thanks so much for stopping by.

I created Contour Allure at the beginning of 2016 because I found there was a huge gap on the internet.  At the beginning of my fitness journey, I found the gym to be so intimidating that I could only go workout when it was closed and god forbid if there was anyone else in there at that time, I would simply walk out.

It brought no comfort to me in turning to the internet because it didn’t seem to be that anyone else was facing the same issues.

After conquering my anxiety and falling in love with gym sessions, it seemed absurd to me that I was the only one that had to overcome confidence and anxiety issues relating to the gym, because lets face it from the outside the gym is a pretty intimidating place and in all seriousness, when are we ever taught what to do in a gym. I think this is the reason so many people resort to using the tredmill or the bikes, but even then these machines aren’t used their full potential. It is because of this that I created Contour Allure.

I don’t want anyone to feel the way I did. Working on fitness goals is difficult enough so we defintiley don’t need to be putting any extra pressure on ourselves. I want you all to achieve your fitness goals so, I sat and I looked at why I didn’t give up and what I did to keep going. There were two key elements:

Support – I had my boyfriend who wouldn’t let me give up and I am so so sooo thankful for him doing that; and

Knowledge – I was and still am, constantly learning as my goals evolve (which they do from time to time).

My aim is to provide those two key elements for you but keep them in one convenient , happy, welcoming and understanding place.  I am hoping Contour Allure will expand to become a real community and support network. , so watch this space – it is going to be exciting and it is all going to be for you!
